Good news: the Nike Air Max 93 will continue hitting retail shelves well into 2015. After the resurgence of the feet-hugging Nike Air Huarache was a major storyline this year, the neoprene sockliner found on the Air Max 93 proved to be a likely follow up for a culture hungry for more retro runners from the early 90s. Sure, this pair isn’t the icon that the Air Max 90 or Air Max 95 was, nor does it look to be. Here we see four upcoming creations of the 1993 retro with some interesting material mock ups that are definitely worth your time. Continue onward for a full look at the Nike Air Max 93’s upcoming year and let us know if you’ve grabbed a pair of this near-forgotten Tinker silhouette.
The Air Max 95’s twenty year celebration is even extending to the model from one year before it released, with the Air Max ’94 receiving the ’95’s iconic neon color scheme. The relatively obscure Air Max model that also made a comeback this year with its brethren from one year later receives a white mesh base with shades of grey for the overlays and Volt accents for the tongue Air Max logo and Air unit columns within the big bubble. If you just can’t get enough of the “neon” colorway, grab these now from select Nike Sportswear retailers globally.
Size? is known to get their hands on some of Nike’s retro models before anyone else. That was the case for the Nike Air Huarache before it reached mainstream success over the past year and a half, and the same goes for the likes of the Nike Air Max 93 and now the Nike Air Max 94. The silhouette is often looked over in the Air Max lineage as the Air Max 95 blew it out of the water thanks to a human anatomy inspiration and multiple visible air capsules that had a pension for vibrance. Here Size? takes a lifestyle approach to the vintage runner thanks to a monochromatic soft suede upper in either grey or khaki while mesh adds a little breathability on the toebox. Contrasting speckled midsoles showcase the vibrant accents of either Volt or Bright Crimson for a unique look. Available this Friday, October 2nd for £100 in UK sizes 6-12.
